Gold fell 0.55%, pressured by a stronger U.S. dollar, 24-year-high Treasury yields near 5.31%, and persistent inflation concerns. However, weaker U.S. jobs data and reduced October Fed hike expectations limited losses.

DXY: 102.17

The dollar remained firm, supported by U.S. Treasury yields near 5.31%, European fiscal concerns and inflation pressures. However, weaker U.S. jobs data limited gains.

USD/JPY: 158.16 (+0.18%)

USD/JPY rose 0.18%, supported by elevated U.S. yields and wide interest-rate differentials. However, BOJ tightening expectations limited further yen weakness.

EUR/USD: 1.1219

EUR/USD remained near a 17-month low, pressured by France's debt concerns, political uncertainty in Spain and dollar strength. Analysts warned of a possible decline below 1.10.

GBP/USD: 1.3216 (-0.06%)

GBP/USD slipped 0.06%, weighed down by dollar strength, elevated Treasury yields and Fed tightening expectations. However, sterling remained relatively resilient against the euro.
