(A) Precious Metals

Gold: $4,606.29/oz (+0.25%)

Gold rose 0.25% to $4,606.29/oz as fiscal concerns and expectations of longer-term dollar weakness supported safe-haven demand. Gains were capped by higher U.S. rate expectations ahead of Jackson Hole guidance.

Silver: $68.64/oz (+0.78%)

Silver gained 0.78% to $68.64/oz as precious-metals demand strengthened amid monetary-policy uncertainty and dollar concerns. Higher interest-rate expectations limited further upside.

Brent Crude: $84.51/bbl (-0.68%)

Brent fell 0.68% to $84.51/bbl as diplomatic efforts involving Iran, Oman and Qatar raised hopes of easing Strait of Hormuz supply risks. Expectations of improved regional oil flows reduced part of the geopolitical risk premium.
