What is Account Balance?

Account balance represents the overall value of a trader's account after accounting for deposits, withdrawals, open positions, and closed trades. It reflects how much capital is currently held within the account.

The account balance changes continuously as trades are executed and market prices fluctuate. It may differ from available margin or equity, depending on open positions and margin requirements.

Understanding account balance is essential for managing risk, placing new trades, and ensuring sufficient funds are available for trading activities.

Example of Account Balance

If a trader deposits $10,000 into a trading account and earns $500 in profits, the account balance becomes $10,500. If the trader later withdraws $1,000, the new account balance will be $9,500.
