About NZD/USD
NZD/USD measures the value of the New Zealand Dollar against the US Dollar. The quote shows how much US Dollar is needed to buy one New Zealand Dollar, and it trades across the global 24-hour foreign-exchange market.
As a major fx pair, NZD/USD draws liquidity from banks, funds and retail traders through the Asian, European and US sessions. Spreads, volatility and depth shift with the session and with scheduled economic events.
The exchange rate is driven primarily by the monetary-policy gap between the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and the US Federal Reserve, relative growth and inflation data, risk sentiment and broad demand for each currency.
