Global Markets

(A) Precious Metals

Gold: $4,265.84/oz (+0.44%)

Gold rose 0.44% to $4,265.84, supported by a weaker U.S. dollar, lower Treasury yields and softer labor-market expectations, which reduced concerns over further U.S. rate increases.

Silver: $62.00/oz (-0.09%)

Silver slipped 0.09% to $62.00 due to profit-taking after the previous session's strong rally and caution ahead of key U.S. employment data. A softer dollar helped limit the decline.

(B) Energy

Brent Crude: $76.19/bbl (-0.56%)

Brent fell 0.56% to $76.19 as progress in Iran-related negotiations raised hopes of improved Gulf oil flows and reduced supply risks. Higher U.S. inventories also added pressure.

(C) FX

USD/JPY: 157.71 (+0.07%)

USD/JPY rose 0.07% to 157.71 as the yen lost momentum after recent intervention gains, while the wide U.S.–Japan rate gap continued supporting the dollar.

EUR/USD: 1.1557 (+0.10%)

EUR/USD gained 0.10% to 1.1557 as weaker U.S. labor data and lower Treasury yields pressured the dollar ahead of the payrolls report.

AUD/USD: 0.7056 (-0.04%)

AUD/USD slipped 0.04% to 0.7056 as weaker Asian technology markets and uncertainty over U.S.–Iran talks reduced risk appetite.
